On 30 October, following allegations of sexual misconduct made against Kevin Spacey, Netflix announced that the sixth season of House of Cards, scheduled for 2018, would be the last. Four days later, Netflix announced that Spacey had been fired from the show. On 4 December (the day before these questions were asked), Netflix announced that an eight–episode sixth season would start production in early 2018 without Spacey's involvement.
